CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston head coach Mark McEntire has announced the signing of Jackson Moore and Josh Lorenzetti, who will join the Cougars starting next year.
"I'm really excited to welcome Jackson and Josh to the C of C golf family," McEntire said. "They are both very talented, have the character and work ethic to immediately improve our team and build the team depth that is so important in becoming competitive in our conference and on the national level."
Lorenzetti, a native of Columbia, S.C., is the seventh ranked golfer by the South Carolina Junior Golf Association and had nine top-20 finishes in nine events in 2011. Josh held a 73.71 stroke average in his nine events this year.
Lorenzetti was part of two South Carolina State Championships with Blythewood High School and finished sixth in the South Carolina Junior Championship shooting rounds of (74-69-75).
"Josh is a very talented golfer and loves the game of golf as much as anyone I have ever come in contact with," McEntire said. "He eats, sleeps and dreams about golf every day. Josh comes from a high school program that wins championships and will bring those experiences and energy to our team. I expect that attitude to carry over into our program."
