Congratulations to the Bengals For 3rd Place Finish at 4A State Championship

Furman University Golf Club once again played host to 4A-State Championship. The Bengals shot 311, 302, 313 for a total of 926 which earned them a 3rd place finish in the 14 team field at the 2009 4A State Championship. The Bengals finished behind Tournament Champion, Dutch Fork, and Dorman.

Damon Postal led the Bengals by firing 76, 76, 73 = 225, which earned him a berth on the 2009 4A All-State Team. This is Postal's 2nd All-State Team since he was also on the 2007 3A All-State Team. Shane Rogan followed with a 76, 73, 80 = 229 - Rogan battled illness through the last 18 holes. Parker Allen was 3rd with a steady performance of 78, 78, 78 = 234. Freshman, Josh Lorenzetti, put up scores of 81, 75, 82 = 238.  Josh Hinson played in the 1st and 3rd rounds firing 81 & 82. Max Faile played in the 2nd round firing 88.

Spring Break
BENGALS HAVE SUCCESSFUL SPRING BREAK TOUR!

Another successful spring break tour! Beginning with Cheraw...a team win! Next at The Hartman (22 teams) another team
championship
. The JV team also won their tournament at Hartman. Finally, a 3rd place finish at The Vidalia "Brave' Invitational in Vidalia, Ga. The field for this tournament included thirty-eight (38) top teams from Georgia, SC and Alabama.

BRAVES INVITATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Blythewood wins tournament for second straight year, beating Nation Ford by four strokes 304 - 308. Josh Lorenzetti and Shane Rogan tied for first with even par 72's. Damon Postal shot 77 and finished tied for 5th

The Bengals played host to their 2nd Annual Bengal JV Tournament. The 36 hole tournament was played at Columbia Country Club on March 24 & 25th. The 8 team field included teams from all over the midlands as well as teams from as far away as Summerville and Aiken.

Congratulations to the Bengal JV Team for winning with a two day total of 660. AC Flora placed 2nd at 668, and Ft. Dorchester finishing 3rd at 689.

Bengal golfers, Bryce Howell and Jonathan Lamkin finished in 1st place at 160. Howell's hole in one on Columbia Country Club's 2nd hole on the Lakeside course was a Bengal Golf first. Howell and Lamkin were followed by Alex Mason at 169, Ben Jansen at 171. William Hinson at 86 and Will Bonneville at 87 split duties during the two day tournament as the Bengals 5th golfer.
